Fix variation preview issues caused by browser settings or extensions.
If the preview module won’t load and you can’t preview variations, a browser setting or extension is likely blocking the temporary cookie the module uses for previewing. This cookie needs to be set and read to display the variation preview.
Fix browser settings on iOS
All browsers on iOS share the same underlying rendering engine, WebKit. By default, cross-site tracking is disabled on all iOS browsers — which prevents the preview module from loading.
Safari on iOS
- Open the iOS Settings app
- Go to Apps > Safari
- Toggle off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking
Chrome, Firefox, or Opera on iOS
These settings are often the same across other iOS browsers. If you're unable to locate the setting, check their help center for instructions.
- Open the iOS Settings app
- Go to Apps > [browser name]
- Toggle on Allow Cross-Website Tracking
Fix browser settings on desktop
Many popular desktop web browsers also disable third-party cookies. You can temporarily enable these settings to open the preview module.
Firefox
- Open the preview link
- Click the Shield icon in the address bar
- Toggle Enhanced Tracking Protection off
Pro tip
Turn the setting back on when you're done previewing.
Safari (MacOS)
- Open Safari
- Click Safari in the top menu
- Click Preferences
- Go to the Privacy tab
- Uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking
Chrome (Incognito mode)
Incognito mode blocks cookies by default. To preview variations in Incognito, allow cookies.
- Click the Settings icon in Chrome
- Go to Settings Privacy and security
- Click Cookies and other site data
- Click Allow all cookies
Disable browser extensions
If cookie settings don’t resolve the issue, try disabling extensions like ad blockers to see if one is interfering.
