Optimize for non-Webflow sites

Set a target goal

Updated

Choose which goal an optimization uses to measure success.

The target goal tells optimizations how to measure success. In AI Optimize, it also powers the AI to maximize conversions. If there’s only one goal, it’s set as target automatically. Other goals act as tracking goals — they don’t affect outcomes but still collect data and show up in reports.

How target goals affect optimizations

The target goal tells Optimize how you want that optimization's results to be measured.

  • AI Optimize — uses the target goal to optimize for conversions
  • Test — uses the target goal to determine and declare a winner
  • Personalize — uses the target goal to show the impact of variations

Note

Changing the target goal starts a new interval. Test optimizations must be stopped before you can edit them.

Open your Optimize site in Webflow, then:

  1. Click Optimizations in the Navigation panel
  2. Click an optimization
  3. Click the Options icon > Edit Configuration
  4. Click the Goals tab
  5. Select a goal
  6. Click Set as target
  7. Click Save
