Understand which version of Optimize you use — and choose the right help center.
Webflow Optimize has two versions, each with a unique interface and its own help center. Knowing which version you use helps you find the right guidance and get the most from Optimize. These links take you to the help center for each interface:
- Optimize for non-Webflow sites — Webflow Optimize help center
- Optimize for Webflow sites — Webflow help center > Insights
How to tell the difference
Both versions are accessed from a Webflow Workspace. On the All sites page, your website is listed with a label below it.
| Optimize for non-Webflow sites | Optimize for Webflow sites |
|---|---|
| The label is always Optimize site | The label is your site plan (e.g., CMS site) |
Compare Optimize versions
Both versions share many of the same features, with feature parity coming closer every day. The defining factor between the two is your website type — and whether Optimize needs to be installed.
- Optimize for Webflow sites — ready to use on any website built in Webflow. Like other Webflow site add-ons, you just need to enable Optimize and it'll run inside Webflow Designer — so you can create, target, and publish optimizations alongside your Webflow pages, CMS content, and components.
- Optimize for non-Webflow sites — designed to be installed on any website, regardless of how it was built or where it's hosted. You still access this version of Optimize through Webflow, but it has a unique interface and visual editor that works on any website.
