Swap images, adjust their dimensions, and manage alt text in the visual editor.
Sometimes all it takes is the right image to capture the visitor's attention or interest. Swapping out different images on the page is another potentially impactful change that you can easily try.
Before you get started
Images should be hosted on your site where other site images are saved. Images can't be uploaded to Optimize directly — instead, upload the new image to your site and copy its URL.
How to replace an image
In the visual editor:
- Click an image element
- Go to Image in the Changes panel
- Delete the existing image's URL
- Paste the new image's URL
- Enter alt text for the new image in the Image Alt Text field
How to adjust the image's dimensions
Your new image may not be in the same dimensions as the old image. You can use the Dimensions section of the Changes panel to refine the image's size. Learn more about the dimension settings.
